Free Online Toddler Games For 3 Year Olds

There are so many online game sites out there that are supposed to be good sites for toddlers to play games on. However, some of them are not easy to navigate and not all of them are free. I have found quite a few different online sites that allow my 3 year old toddler to stay occupied for hours - games that are both educational and fun.

Most of these game sites require that your child knows how to use a mouse. Your child doesn't necessarily need to master the skill of using a mouse because many of the games that are available to him or her will spark an interest - creating a desire to learn how to use a mouse.

Included in the list of game sites are popular characters like Elmo, Mickey Mouse, Thomas the Engine, and much more. There are not only games that your children can interact with, but also movies they can watch, music they can listen to, activities they can print out, and much more.

Some of the educational materials that your child can learn via these free sites are:
Learn their ABC's
Learn how to count
Learn how to spell
Learn how to match
Learn how to recognize colors
Learn Spanish

That is only a few of the things that your child can learn via free online toddler sites. Basic skills that all parents want their child to know are easy to learn with these various sites. So, sit down with your toddler, introduce him or her to the sites, and then watch him have fun learning something new!

Mini Laptops 101 – Compare Mini Laptops With Standard Laptops

What are mini laptops? These small but mighty wonders are actually the smaller cousins of the standard laptop. If you think you've never seen one, then just remember the times when you passed by a computer store and marveled at how cute that laptop is.

Mini laptops are fast becoming a global sensation, because apart from being lightweight, they are also light on the pocket. But how do they compare against standard laptops?

Over the years the development of a stripped down, downsized laptop has evolved, and just like the standard laptops, most mini laptops now come with an operating system (Windows or Linux), basic software, substantial memory, entertainment options, and Internet connectivity. Still, the minis are distinct from standard laptops based on these features:

Price

Mini laptops are in the range of $100 to $500, which make them very affordable to practically anyone. Standard laptops cost $800 to $1500 and up.

Weight

They just weigh around two pounds while standard laptops generally weigh closer to six pounds.

Screen

Mini laptops have screens from eight to ten inches wide, while standard laptops have 15-17 inch display.

The good thing about netbooks is that they have sizable memory, from 512 to 2GB, with storage space ranging from 16GB to 160GB. If your files exceed the storage capacity, you can easily expand it with flash disks and memory cards.

With these smaller laptops, you can easily create MS office documents, read email, watch movies, listen to music, take pictures and chat with your friends, and surf the Internet, among other things.

Probably the only downside to these small laptops is that they have smaller keyboards than standard laptops. Some computer users might find it uncomfortable to type on smaller keys for an extended period of time.

Whether or not mini laptops are going to be the standard laptops of the future remains to be seen. But it is doubtful the standard laptops are going to be obsolete. As it is, there are certain jobs that need wide screens and more processing power that exceeds the power available in the current generation of ultra portable notebook computers. Tasks currently unsuitable for a mini

Digital SLR Camera Review – Choosing Between SLR Cameras Or Compact Digital Cameras

When purchasing a digital camera, it is often a tough decision to choose between a SLR digital camera and a compact digital camera. With this digital SLR camera review, we will cover the most important aspects in the decision making process.

SLR Cameras are your best choice among digital cameras if you want to do more than take family vacation, holiday, and birthday pictures. Despite the fact that many point-and-shoot compact digitals have increasingly higher megapixels, the SLR is the choice for serious photographers and photography hobbyists. This digital SLR camera review will cover the importance of purchasing a SLR camera if you are serious about your photography.

The most obvious reason for choosing a SLR camera is that you have the capacity to produce photography that is much more artistic. With SLR cameras, you have manual options that you don't have with point-and-shoot cameras and this is what makes the biggest difference in how you can use your SLR camera artistically.

When trying to get that perfect shot, your camera must be ready in an instant. SLR cameras have instant start up and minimal shutter lag. Most point-and-shoot compacts have a 2 to 3 second shutter lag which means you are going to miss that shot. The shutter lag in SLR cameras is a fraction of a second so you get the shot you want.

Another plus in SLR cameras in that they can take interchangeable lenses. This is very important for those nature and sports photos when you often can't get close to your subject. With a SLR camera, you can change to a zoom lens and get those close-ups. Great battery life, large image sensor, fast continuous shooting, and the ability to store RAW images are other pluses of SLR cameras.

Some of the not so good qualities I would like to point out in this SLR digital camera review is that these cameras are large. So, if you want to be able to fit them in your purse or bag, they're not going to fit - not so good on vacations. They are also much heavier than subcompact digital cameras and compact digital cameras weighing in at about

Games on the CECT I9 3G – How to Find, Install, and Play Them

There's no doubt that there's a lot of entertainment available on the CECT iPhone clones. You can listen to MP3s. You can watch movies or video. And, you can play games. I get a lot of emails about how to get new games on this new 3G phone. I'll go over this process in the following article.

Finding And Installing Games On The CECT 3G Via Java: I'm sure there are other ways and places to get games on this phone, but most people will just go for the Java variety. Most of these phones support Java (check with the seller to make sure if you have any doubt), so this makes the process free and easy. There are literally thousands of Java games available - most of them are free.

To get started, goggle the phrase "get jar." This will take you to some websites that have free Java games (in jar files) via download. If you hit "software" at the top of the screen, you'll then see "games" on the bottom left hand side. If you click on this icon, you'll see several different gaming categories, like action, board games, adventure, classic, etc.

There's usually something for everyone - including the old stand bys like Space Invaders And Pac Man as well as Lunar Lander and GAEM. As soon as you find a game that you want to download, click on it's link. Most games will just have the jar file right there, but others will ask you to chose your device. There is only one CECT model listed right now - CECT A100. This works for all of the phones. If you want a game that doesn't have this device, often the Nokia phones will work also, especially 2610.

Now, at this point, there are a few ways to get the game from your computer to the phone. You can use Bluetooth, you can use the SD card, or you can use the USB cord. I prefer the USB cord because it is always at my computer anyway and I don't have to open up the phone to get the SD card. So, these next instructions are for the USB cord, but the process is the same no matter what the method.

Once you have the USB cord installed into your phone, click "mass storage." Then, from your computer, click the jar file and then chose "save as." Then, on your desktop, find what your phone is labeled as. For me, this is k:/ but it may be different to you. Once you curser to this drive, hit save.

Next, take the USB cord out of your phone. Go into the documents icon of the phone. You will have two options - memory card or phone. Chose memory card. Then, go into the "received" folder. You should see the name of the game listed. (You may have to scroll down if you have lots of files.) Click on the game's name. Then, click on the icon that says "install." The phone will then install the game.

When you want to play the game, go into the Java icon of the i9 -3G's main menu. Go into "installed software." You'll see the name of the game listed. Click on it and then click on "launch." The game will then begin and you can start playing.

This article was about finding and installing games, but this process is the same for all Java files, including browsers like Opera Mini, applications like Google maps, mobile office, or email programs like MMail.

Nokia 7510 Supernova Mobile Phone Review – Non-3g Clamshell Quad With Nokia Maps

The name Supernova conjures up all sorts of images of intergalactic wonders and starry bodies which are associated with excitement - think of the buzz and the awe created by the real supernovas and comets as they approach our little planet on their way around the solar system.

We would expect, therefore that the Nokia 7510 Supernova would have the same effect on us when we opened the pack.

Instead - what stared us in the face was a little clam-shell phone which, when we started reading the specs, filled us with some disappointment. For some silly reason, we expect phones these days to work on 3G as standard. The Nokia 7510 Supernova does not offer that service. After our initial disappointment, believing in the abilities of the Nokia company to come up with 'the goods', we looked a little further at the offering.

The 7510 Supernova is an edge handset weighing in at 124g. Obviously more sturdy than we first thought with a sensible hinge, we noticed dual screens - monochrome on the outside for displaying caller info when the handset is closed at 128 x 160 pixels in size, and the primary LCD display (TFT with 16M colours) on the inside, sized at 240 x 320 pixels.

The handset features Xpress-On cover customisation options, a 2 megapixel camera with an LED flash, quad band compatibility and 256MB internal memory, which can be boosted up to 8GB by means of MicroSD cards. Stereo Bluetooth is also included, and the standard issue Lithium-ion battery will provide up to 6 hours of talk time and up to 300 hours on standby.
